2) How many students in a typical group class?

The actual number of students may vary.  A group class consists of 3 to 6 students, which includes new and returning students of refresher training.   Due to Covid-19 and training quality, we always try to minimize the class as small as possible.   Quality over Quantity!

a) Muzzling unsafety direction and finger on the trigger without intention are both NOT acceptable at any level of training although it is understanding that novices tend to unconsciously make such unintentional mistakes in beginner level of training.  These two dangerous mistakes are commonly seen among inexperienced firearm users.

b) Possessing merely a CCW license including CA or other states' CCW license, or a great deal of numbers firearms are all irrelevant to a person's actual ability of firearm safety and skill level.

c) It is understanding that students may not be proficient in the required skills.  That is why room to improve existing skills while learning new techniques.   All skills can be honed over a period of time.  However, any student taking a certain level of training without previous knowledge (except beginner level) will slow down the training progress and even may cause safety problems.

d) Firearm trainers may offer similar programs but could be very different curriculums.  As a result, the student must clearly understand the course description.  Despite we can generally understand the term "Beginner,"  the actual training objectives, contents, and specific skills may vary.   Please feel free to contact us if you are not sure about your level.

Competence: Be competent in using a firearm safely, effectively, and purposefully.

6) What is the main difference between the well-known NRA Certified Firearm Instructor and the lesser-known NRA Law Enforcement/LE certified firearm instructor?

Both certified instructors are under NRA (National Rifle Association).  Both instructors are trained by qualified trainers and both instructor candidates must meet certain requirements to be certified.   However, there is a distinct difference between them for a purpose.  The well-known NRA Firearm Instructor training program is mainly designed for civilian firearm trainers.     On the other hand, the less conspicuously known NRA Law Enforcement / LE division is separately administrated.  The NRA LE firearm instructor program is focused on various government law enforcement agencies and security forces.   The enrollment, the training requirements, and the renewal process for the NRA LE certified firearm instructor are different from the ordinary NRA firearm instructor program, which involves more requirements and required continuing education/training to be certified and renewed.  Regardless, both NRA firearm instructor programs indeed provide excellent training.   Any sound credential appears to have face value, however, a successful trainer comes with knowledge, skill, experience, passion, caring, and demeanor is far more important.

7) Do you use Zoom virtual classroom online learning?

Yes. Zoom virtual classroom online learning is used mainly for Fortitude Int'ls firearm beginner levels training and other educational programs because it has been proved the positive learning experience as well as the training effectiveness.   As a result, it is strongly recommended that the Handgun-1 Beginner Level students take the first portion of the training by using the Zoom virtual classroom online learning.   Using the Zoom virtual learning method at home, the students can comfortably spend about 2.5 hours learning the first portion of the handgun training including gun safety, handgun nomenclatures, handgun types, and shooting fundamentals, etc., which is extremely important for a beginner.   For the second portion, the students will learn handgun handling and live-fire shooting in the shooting range.  It usually takes about 3 hours to complete the remaining training.   For any reason, if the online training is inaccessible, the entire training of Handgun-1 Beginner Level can be completely done in the range.

10) What is the "Refresher Training Plan" / RTP
