Refresher Training Plan

(RTP)

"The only impossible journey is the one you never begin."       -Tony Robbins

1) What is the definition of "Refresher Training" from the perspective of being a civilian firearm user?

The "Refresher Training Plan" (RTP) is for skill retention.  The objective is to ensure that the firearm users maintain that particular level of critical skills and knowledge for their firearm use with confidence, composure, and competence before moving to the next level of training.

2) What is "Refresher Training Plan" (RTP) offered by Fortitude Int'l training?

The RTP is automatically included in our majority of the trainings beginning the date after the initial training for 3 months for FREE.  It simply means "Use or Lose."  (Please note several training does not come with this RTP policy)    Any students participating in this RTP may retake the same training with other new students in a group class available for UNLIMITED times within 3-month period after they complete the original level of initial training for FREE.

3) Why is the "Refresher Training Plan" (RTP)?

Firearm safety, handling, and marksmanship are equally important for any firearm user.   Repetition is the most effective solution to retain the skill level and progress beyond.  However, the repetition must be done in a proper way or bad habits will grow.   The trainer can diagnose student's problems, provide solutions, and monitor the progress.   After any level of the initial training, proper follow-up training and self-practice of firearm skills learned become critical for skill retention and perfection.  The cost-effective Refresher Training Program (RTP) has been proving its value since it was introduced in 2019.   It has been proven that refresher training is the most affordable and effective way for skill retention or skill improvement for our students.

4) What are the common difficulties of a new shooter for skill retention or even for skill improvement?

Many students can do well in the initial training; however, a great deal of them may not retain the same level of skill after the class.   There are multiple reasons.  First, insufficient or zero follow up practice.  Self-practice requires discipline and commitment.  It is understandable that many new civilian shooters have little time for the firearm follow-up self-practice because of their busy life.  Second, practice without a skilled trainer at your side.  Effective and structured training consists of clear objectives to be accomplished.   Effective training usually needs coaching in that someone identifies the cause of the problem, provides solutions immediately, and carefully monitors the process.  If not, the shooter may simply just repeat the mistakes that develop bad habits which can result not only in poor marksmanship but also incompetent firearm handling skills.   Third, apathy may occur during the repetition of self-practice because of a lack of motivation. The appropriate motivation given by the trainer becomes vital in the training.   Lacking sufficient practice, effective coaching, and motivation for training, new shooters are unlikely to retain their firearm skills after weeks or months of the initial training.

5) What is the cost of the Refresher Training Plan (RTP) if I decide to purchase it after one year of my initial training?

After 3 months of your initial training, the RTP is automatically expired.  Anyone interesting in the RTP, the student simply sign up the same training, pays the training fee and activate the RTP again for anther 3 months.
